Once you’ve had a phone for long enough, you get used to all its idiosyncrasies and, for better or for worse, often learn to love it. Changing phones offers greater potential, but it can also bring confusion and leave you spending a lot of time transferring data as well as simply learning how to use the new piece of technology. So how do you know whether or not the phone you are using really is right for what you now need?

With contract, this is going to be much easier. You can easily upgrade at the end of your contract to a phone that offers improved features and functionality and test it out to see if it is right for you. If it is, you can easily sell your mobile and get some extra money in your pocket along with a new phone. However, if it isn’t you can easily choose to get rid of the new phone instead, and get a great deal of money whilst also assuring yourself you do have the best phone for you.

With memory cards getting bigger and bigger, the improvement in phones is now often about added functionality rather than memory, which means if your current phone does everything you need it to do, an upgrade may not necessarily be worthwhile. When you sell your mobile, whether it is the new one or old one, you can often get enough to ensure that even if you change your mind further down the line, you will have likely have made enough to be able to afford a new one anyway.

When you recycle mobile phones you can get a surprisingly high amount of money, which can go towards extra memory cards for your current phone or simply to treating yourself. So why not try out a new phone regardless, as you can always recycle mobile phones either way and get more than you might have thought.

Memory cards are great for phones as they enable you to store far more than you would be able to without them. However, more and more phones are coming with a larger internal memory and therefore people are often not bothering to put their own memory cards into the phone. However, external cards offer many benefits.

Firstly, and most importantly, having an external card will make changing to a new phone far easier as you can instantly transfer all the relevant content from your old phone to your new phone without having to use complicated software or worry about compatibility issues.

This also means that you will be less likely to hang onto those old mobiles too and mean that you can swap those old phones for cash. Some people avoid mobile phone recycling simply for the fact they will have information on an old phone they want to keep and haven’t the time, inclination or technical ability to transfer it to their new one. An external phone card makes this process so easy that swapping those old phones for cash will simply be a case of removing your memory card and SIM in many cases.

In turn, mobile phone recycling can offer huge amounts of money which would usually more than sufficiently cover the cost of a memory card in the first place. At the same time you get to reap all the other benefits from increased capacity through to just having more flexibility in transferring data to and from other applications such as laptops.

Memory cards help you get the most out of any handheld device, so whatever you want to achieve, making sure you have one for your phone will help you reap numerous benefits every single day, and may also simply help you have a better way of getting money for your old phone.

The majority of us will have more than one mobile phone, whilst almost none of us will actually need this to be the case. So why is it that we hang on to mobiles after we have finished with them?

There are many reasons why people end up keeping phones they don’t need, ranging from the obvious to the totally obscure. However, almost none of them end up being valid and people could find that they can actually get cash for phones instead of holding onto something they will probably never even touch again.

One reason people hold on to phones is nostalgia, seeing them as a gateway to a technologically challenged past that will conjure up many memories associated with the tool. For others, there is a fear that certain items on the phone’s memory won’t ever be properly deleted and that information or memories of yours may end up in other people’s hands.

Both of these points end up being unfounded as a simple deletion (or a more thorough one using special programs for those really want to make sure) will get rid of all data whilst old phones turn out to be far less nostalgic than we might have first thought.

Others hold onto phones in case they lose their current one, not realising that visiting sites that offer cash for phones could give them far more money than a cheap replacement would cost should such an event occur. Others simply don’t even think about it, and again these people are missing out on the financial and environmental benefits that come when you recycle mobile phones.

Others keep them for old text messages but even these can now be easily downloaded onto other platforms. So instead of hanging on to those old phones why not choose to recycle mobile phone and make some money from something you will almost certainly never use again.

International phone calls will soon be a lot cheaper for some customers of a leading mobile phone operator.Cheap international calls will be offered to customers of 3 Mobile as it will be cutting the price of calls to twenty five countries for those on pay as you go contracts.

Users will be able to make cheap international calls to landline numbers in places like Poland and France for as little as 2p per minute. When making calls to other countries such as Pakistan, this could rise up to around 6p a minute. Also included in this new deal are countries such as the United States, Australia and Canada. Quite surprisingly however is the fact that the Republic of Ireland will not be included among the other twenty five countries customers can ring at a cheaper rate.

Making calls to Ireland will remain at around 14p per minute when ringing landline telephone numbers, despite the country being located closer to the UK.In order to make the most of these savings, users simply have to enter a three digit code into their phones before entering the number they wish to call in order to benefit from the cheaper rate. The company initially introduced cheaper rates earlier this year in April, however this has now been extended to more countries.

In other news, 3 Mobile has also said more people are using online gadgets when using their mobile phones, meaning they need a stronger and more reliable internet connection. As part of a new marketing campaign the company has had a number of Human Hotspots set up in London and a number of other cities across the country. These hotspots are basically just people dressed in a skin tight white suit, holding a Meerkat, however they will be able to give people surrounding them free broadband internet connections via Wi-Fi.

Cheap international calls are very hard to come by these days with so much competition coming from mobile phone networks.International phone calls could soon be cheaper thanks to a new phone card that is being launched by leading retailer, Tesco. With the possibility of making cheap international calls to more than sixty countries, the retailer now hopes that families will be able to make some savings when calling friends and family living or working abroad.

The company decided to launch this card after some research was carried out by Simplifydigital which revealed that many people end up spending more money making international phone calls each year by failing to shop around for the best deals.
Speaking about the findings to the Press Association, Simplifydigital chief executive, Charlie Ponsonby said: “Families who regularly make international calls and have not checked the call plan they are on are crazy.

“The key is to find the plan that matches the international destinations you call regularly.” Available by the end of the year, customers using the new Tesco call cards will be able to make calls to international destinations including landlines and mobile phones.According to Tesco, if a customer purchases a £5 card they should be able to get over two hundred minutes of call time to family and friends living abroad.

Also speaking recently, Tesco Telecoms and Tesco Mobile chief executive, Lance Batchelor has revealed why the company decided to launch the new card.He said: “ Customers want honest, simple prices, convenience and good service.

“The card allows people the flexibility to call where they want, whenever they want, without the need for a prescriptive bundle or subscription service.” The company also hopes that customers will be happy that a number of less popular destinations to ring abroad, such as India, will be included in the cheaper rate.

Working remotely has a lot of benefits, but also it’s fair share of negative points too. So how do you know before you dive in, whether doing so is going to be right for you?It is important to understand what you are getting into with remote working before you say yes. It can be extremely beneficial in many ways, but for others it can be very lonely.

The benefits are numerous though – you can often be much more flexible with your hours and find that you suddenly have much more scope as to what you do with your days, rekindling old passions and hobbies en route. You will find that you feel like you are your own boss and whether or not you are often feels immaterial.

One of the best ways to not only ensure you have not only the upmost flexibility, but also can stave off those pangs of loneliness is to invest in mobile broadband. Not only will having mobile broadband mean that you never have to miss an email and can literally find out all the information you need no matter where you are, but it also increases the options as to where you can work. For instance if pangs of loneliness kick in, you can have your own makeshift office anywhere from the pub to your best friend’s front room, meaning you can get all the work done you need to and never worry about being on your own. If you want to work at home you can, in the pub you can, or sitting watching a waterfall at dusk, you can.

There are many mobile broadband deals out there and the right mobile broadband deals will often work out a lot cheaper than you might imagine. For those worried about what working remotely might hold in store, this is by far the best way to make sure you are totally in control.

When looking into whether or not to start using Mobile Internet or simply continue using WiFi at the many hotpots around the country, many people come to the conclusion that it is much cheaper to do their work using the WiFi hotspot option.

However, when you get to the core of it, this could end up being much more costly in the long run. Whilst mobile internet may indeed seem more expensive, the flexibility it offers is far greater. Many places with WiFi charge for its use and those that don’t will usually require a purchase being made in return for the use of the internet. These costs will often add up to, and they are costs that are there without allowing you the flexibility that mobile options allow.

If you have mobile broadband you will be able to use the internet as you travel, whether you are on a train or whether you are a passenger in the car and the time that this may save you will often far outweigh the costs of paying for mobile broadband. You are also not going to be restricted by places’ opening times and can literally be free to use the internet as and when you need, pretty much wherever you are.

To make sure that the mobile option really does beat the WiFi one, it is important to compare mobile broadband prices and tariffs. For some a pay as you go option will find them saving huge amounts over both WiFi as well as over many other mobile plans, whilst for others the flexibility and sheer scope that a monthly plan offers may be perfect. So, it is almost certain that mobile wins. Just ensure you compare mobile broadband plans first to make sure you are getting the very best deal for you.

Mobile broadband carries with it many benefits. Some are obvious, such as the opportunity to get online almost wherever you are, whenever you need to and even on the move. Other benefits however aren’t quite so patent. One of the surprising things about using mobile broadband is that doing so can often end up being quicker and more efficient than using one’s home broadband.

With costs plummeting and free offers being thrown into the deal by many companies, getting this fast connection is now also surprisingly affordable meaning that for those who want to utilise the ability to work anywhere at any time, and do so with a speedy connection, it may actually end up being much more practical and just as cost-effective as having a fixed broadband at home.

So, by doing away with your fixed line broadband, as long as you get phone signal at your house, you could find yourself with faster broadband there without having to pay a single penny more in many cases. For those who don’t use their landline, which is an increasingly large number of people, you could end up being in pocket by doing away with a home line too.You will also often find that having broadband this way is actually much more widely available than standard fixed line option too, meaning many more could get broadband by utilising the mobile option.

However, before you plunge in there are still things to consider. You should compare all the mobile broadband plans before you choose one as you may find that a monthly fee option is best for you, whilst others may find a pay as you go option is better. There are also mobile broadband plans that will offer you things such as free laptops as incentives so if yours is on its way out this will be by far the best option for you.
